About Me

Jonathan Neal is a Physician Assistant, Board certified in Family Practice since 2005 with a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Pacific University. He graduated from Oregon State University with bachelor’s degrees in microbiology and chemistry in 1997. He worked in a variety of medical disciplines before PA school, including time as a medic on an ambulance service, a phlebotomist, a laboratory technician and even owned his own painting business for several years while preparing for further medical training while living in Halsey, Oregon.

Born and raised just 100 miles to the East of Klamath in Lakeview, Oregon, Jon grew up with a passion to serve in a smaller community. Getting to spend large amounts of time in the local clinic and hospital growing up with a family physician helped give Jon the passion and desire to bring medical treatments and education to underserved areas. This deep-rooted exposure led Jon and his wife Janelle who is a Registered Nurse to Klamath Falls after graduation to his career at Klamath Health Partnership.

With almost 19 years at KHP, Jon had the opportunity to grow as a primary care clinician, learning various procedures, basic and complex treatment options and enjoying a wide range of internal medicine and orthopedics subspecialties. Jon has spent the last 10 years of his practice at KOD in Chiloquin, running and directing a satellite clinic which has prepared him for a broad base of different medical problems and concerns, as well as preparing him to learn the day-today operations of running a medical clinic.

Jon and his family are excited about this new opportunity to serve in the Klamath Falls community as a healthcare and business leader.

He lives with his wife, Janelle of 26 years and their children on a ranch in the Fort Klamath region.  They have 6 children and are just waiting for grandchildren at this point. He enjoys being active in his local Church body, hunting, hiking and working on his Dexter cow ranch, getting to live off the land. He is passionate about world missions and making Christ known to the nations.

Jon is looking forward to expanding his practice model in this Direct Primary Clinic. Getting to spend more time with patients and have less regulations will allow for better diagnostic capabilities, expand preventative care, and open up natural treatment options that have not been available until now. Jon also encourages his patients to take an active role in their healthcare and that of their families. He looks forward to taking care of each person as an individual and hopefully continue this great trend in medicine known as Direct Primary Care.
